Do you offer half-day childcare programs?
Yes! While our hours of operation are set the hours your child attends are up to you! We know that work schedules don’t always align with school hours so we let you decide and only pay for the hours you need each day. See our Tuition page to learn more.
What are Little Steps to Learning Academy hours?
We are open Monday through Friday from 7: 00 AM – 6:00 PM EST.
Does Little Steps to Learning Academy provide food?
No Little Steps to Learning does not provide food. Parents send in food with the kids. Throughout the year there will be times when food is provided as part of the curriculum or to celebrate birthdays and holidays. Little Steps will communicate through with parents for these occasions.
How much does enrollment at Little Steps to Learning Academy cost?
Your tuition will depend on your specific situation, but you can refer to our Tuition page to see our standard hourly rates. Worried about how much child care will cost ? We offer second-child discounts and teachers discount and accept state subsidies. Little Steps to Learning is a non-profit child care center and it’s our mission to offer affordable childcare to families in Passaic, Morris & Essex County New Jersey.
What are the ages of children you accept?
We care for students aged 6 weeks to 6 years. Newborns to Kindergarten full time and before and aftercare for children up to second grade.
Do you offer child care for families with English as a second language?
Yes! We currently have a Spanish speaking caregiver in every room and have a Spanish speaking admin staff on and ready to take your calls and discuss enrollment with you in your natural language. Some of our teachers are also certified in English as a Second Language (ESL). We love exposing children to all variety of languages, check out our Instagram & facebook feed to see some of our toddlers practicing saying hello and counting in Japanese. If you speak another language, please let us know and we will try to accommodate you.
Can I visit or take a tour before I enroll my child?
Yes! We’d love to have you come by tour the school and meet our amazing staff and students, just give us a call or submit a request to get it set up.
Does Little Steps to Learning provide diapers?
No, Parents are responsible for sending diapers and wipes in with their child. We use our brightwheel app to stay connected to parents and let you know when supplies are running low.
What forms do I need to register my child?
The main registration form is available for download on our homepage. You can also just give us a call and we can walk you through the enrollment process.
Is child-care available before or after school?
Yes! Little Steps to Learning offers a Before & After School program during the school year. Students can arrive as early as 7 AM and remain until 6 PM. Our caregivers walk the students across the street before school begins and meet them there when school lets out to walk back.
